WHO WE ARE

We all know a "hidden creative" (someone who loves music, has little-no experience, and is in a non-musical career).

MELODY MEET is a weekly musical workshop for those who love music but have little to no formal experience. They are immersed in a crash course of all things music, including an introduction to beginner voice lessons in a group (with the potential to take 1:1), anatomy and movement, and active listening to all styles of music.

We provide a non-judgmental space for creative discovery, even diving into informative discussions about creative blockages in participants' current workplaces and how they can be creative in conventional jobs.

Come to this judgement free zone and let your love for music run free. It is is a perfect weekly addition to someone who is looking for something more outside of their desk job.

In 9 weeks, you will:

worked with students at University of Michigan

- Learn the basics of singing in a judgement free zone

- Learn the basics of anatomy and breathwork, and their relation to singing and the nervous system

- Participate in heartfelt and informative discussion on the creative blockages in your current workplace

Discover the voice types and what they sound like

See an opera

- Be exposed to all styles of music

Among much more. Come one, come all, it's a musical party for 9 weeks.

ALL SESSIONS ARE LED BY GINA

Melody Meet is designed by a professional opera singer who believes that the classical arts are not exclusive and there is power in approaching an experience as a beginner.

Gina has sung at companies such as Santa Fe Opera, Seattle Opera, Opera Philadelphia, Deutsche Oper Berlin, and The Atlanta Opera, while frequently traveling back and forth to New York City.

She has been featured in the Huffington Post for her introspective writings into the soul of being a nomadic performer and can be seen in the Bollywood feature film Bawaal (2023) singing opera.

Her work has been critically praised as "potent," possessing "swaggering strength" and "urgency" (Opera News), and she has worked alongside authors such as Salmon Rushdie and Khaled Hosseini to bring their literary works to the operatic stage.

She is an avid writer, professional performer, and teaching artist with her own private studio out of Kennett Square, PA where she currently makes her home.
